The Perfect Artist

I am an artist, at least that’s what I call myself. Whether it be painting, working with epoxy or creating décor out of natural or store-bought items, I love to create. As an artist, I am always looking for inspiration and ideas of what I can do next.

If you are an artist, then you know there are more times than not that the creation doesn’t turn out exactly how you planned. Sometimes you get “happy little accidents” as world renowned artist Bob Ross would say.

And, sometimes you get results that end up in the trash.

Recently my husband and I along with our pup Nero made the long road trip from Pennsylvania to Alberta Canada to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks. I wished to gain some artistic inspiration and I knew there would be lots of natural beauty to stir up the creative juices. I’ve heard the statement many times “God is the perfect Artist”. That certainly rings true when you visit such places like these two parks. There are no words to completely portray the splendor and majesty of what your eyes behold. From the distant snow-capped mountains to the creamy turquois waters, God’s art is perfect!

God’s artwork is unmatchable. As an artist, capturing the “wow” of nature on my canvas is a futile and an unattainable goal. God is the perfect Artist. Genesis 1:31 says. Then God saw everything that He made, and indeed it was very good.

The next time you get out into nature, take a moment to just look at what the perfect Artist has created for you to enjoy. Let the perfection of His artwork overwhelm you and fill you with how much He loves you.
